Canner Inspection and Rental

It's canning season and we have a few new things we want to introduce to the community that will hopefully make it easier to start the canning.

 

Canning Equipment Check-Out

This program is for those who don't have the equipment or cannot afford it. You can check out a pressure canner or a water bath canner for seven days in order to can your produce. You will also be required to fill out a check with the restocking fee for the equipment checked out so that we can cash it if you don't bring the equipment back. You will have a three-day grace period.
  1. Please Sign this Canner Check-Out Agreement.
  2. Fill out the Home Food Preservation Canner Check-Out Form and attach the canner check-out agreement at the end of the form.
  3. Once you submit the form, the FCS agent will contact you within 24-48 hours of your response.


Pressure Canner Checks and Inspection


  • The pressure gauge will be inspected and tested for proper psi.
  • The gasket will also be inspected.
