Job Description The Guilford County Food Security Team is committed to co-creating a climate-resilient food system plan grounded in sustainability and fairness. Our goal is to ensure community members with real-world experience contribute meaningfully to the development of food security and access initiatives, and to the creation of the Food Security Plan. Our work includes improving access to food, strengthening the capacity of organizations that connect people to food, enhancing our farming infrastructure and farmers' markets, minimizing food surplus, and improving food recovery. The primary objectives of the program are to: 1. Improve collaboration and connections among community organizations and stakeholders dedicated to food security in Guilford County. 2. Establish a system for measuring and sharing data among organizations working to enhance food security across Guilford County. 3. Develop a county-wide Food Security Plan for Guilford County.
