Learn how to take the next step towards building a successful farming operation. Designed for new and beginner farmers and agricultural operations, this six-week course will introduce you to many of the hurdles in establishing an agricultural operation in an Urban setting.

This course is designed for both newer and beginning operations, but experienced farmers are encouraged to attend. Curriculum designed and presented by NC State Faculty.

• Getting Started in Local Foods
• Soil Health and Management
• Vegetable and Fruit Production
• Animal Production and Husbandry
• Agricultural Business Planning and Record Keeping
• Post-Harvest Operations and Agricultural Marketing
