Youth & 4-H Through 4-H, more than 204,419 young people in North Carolina learn new skills and serve their communities each year. 4-H offers clubs, special interest programs, summer camps, school enrichment and after-school child care. Guided by North Carolina Cooperative Extension educators and adult and teen volunteers, 4-H'ers gain knowledge, skills and experience that help them become responsible citizens and leaders. 4-H is for any youth 5-18 years old, regardless of where they live, what their backgrounds are, or what interests them. Today in Guilford County, 4-H members are from the city, from the country, and everywhere in between. They participate in a variety of hands-on learning experiences to develop long-term life skills What do the H's stand for?
