"The best things in life are free.” I agree! Waking up and knowing that I will have the unconditional love of my child(ren) gives me purpose, but it also provides challenges. With so many things going on in the world it is important that “we” teach and prepare our children for the future. Follow these simple tips to help achieve your goals:

1. Boost your child's self-esteem

Choose your words wisely. Praise good behaviors and encourage your child when behaviors are not ideal. Practice positive affirmations to help boost self-esteem.

2. Make time

Be available for your child(ren). Life gets busy sometimes, but it is important for them to know that they are important and loved. Set aside a few minutes out of each day to just be with your child(ren) without interruption. Ask how their day was and leave any negativity outside.

3. Listen to your child

Communication is key!! Do not just talk “at” your child, allow them to express their feelings in a safe environment. Listen to what they have to say and act accordingly.

Give your child unconditional love. You are the one to set the bar for your child(ren). Show them what love is and watch them grow and flourish. Speak life into your child and send them out into the community with positivity and help make the world a better place, one person at a time.
