4-H Sewing Showcase: Fashion Revue & Small Sewing Creations

Guilford County 4-H is excited to invite youth to participate in this year’s Sewing Showcase, featuring two fun opportunities to highlight creativity, craftsmanship, and sewing skills!

Runway Fashion Revue – Wearable Outfit or Garment

This category is perfect for youth who want to show off garments they’ve created and can wear. Projects might include dresses, skirts, blouses, pajama pants, aprons, and more.

Small Sewing Creations

This category allows youth to explore a variety of smaller sewing projects. Participants may enter one item per category, choosing from:

  • Pillow
  • Bags
  • Stuffed Toy
  • Hand Stitched Item
  • Miscellaneous

Participation Details

  • Open to youth ages 5–18 in Guilford County
    • Age Categories (Age as of Jan 1, 2026):
      • 5-7 - Participation Only
      • 8-13 Years OId
      • 14-18 Years Old
  • A completed form and sewn items must be submitted by May 12, 2026
  • Items may be dropped off at the Guilford County Extension Office (3309 Burlington Road, Greensboro)
  • Each item must include a note with the participant’s:
    • Name
    • Age
    • County

District Competition

The winners from each category and age group will be eligible to participate in the North Central District competition. All Cloverbud (5-7) projects are eligible to participate.

The North Central District 4-H Fashion Revue competition (wearable garments) will be held at District Activity Day June 24th at N.L. Dillard Middle School in Caswell County NC on June 24th. Youth will also be expected to participate in a virtual interview via Zoom on June 15th. Participants MUST be able to participate in the Fashion Revue Show on June 24th in-person.

The Small Sewing Creations will be on display at District Activity Day. Participants do not need to be present for this competition.
