HAND TOOL CLEANING AND SHARPENING
When is the best time to prune? When your tools are clean and sharp! Join us for a hands-on workshop on cleaning and sharpening garden tools. We invest time and money on garden tools and at the most, we may get mud off them at the end of the season. Come and learn how to properly maintain and clean your hand tools. Sharpening makes all the difference in the amount of effort needed to prune, cut and dig! Bring two hand tools and your sharpening implements (if you have them) to class to get hands-on experience with a coach in cleaning and sharpening. We’ll also have supplies on hand if you don’t. If you’re in the market to buy tools, this is a good chance to hear our experience and that of your classmates. Oh, leave the chain saw at home. That’s for the advanced class! Speaker is Chet Wasik and Associates, Extension Master gardener (SM) Volunteers. In case of inclement weather the backup date is Thursday February 28.
