4-H Celebrates June Dairy Month With Contests

Cow in fieldJune is National Dairy month and Guilford County 4-H is hosting two events to bring awareness to the dairy industry and dairy products.

Dairy Days at the Farmers Market

Join us on Saturday, June 2 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Piedmont Triad Farmers’ Market on Sandy Ridge Road for fun and educational events including our Homemade Ice Cream Churn-Off.

Homemade Ice Cream Churn-Off

Summertime is fast approaching and nothing says summer like ice cream! Bring your favorite homemade ice cream recipe out to the Piedmont Triad Farmers’ Market on June 2nd to compete for $300 worth in prizes. Participants will compete in two divisions; Adult and Youth. T-Shirt design Contest

Guilford County will be hosting the 76th Greensboro District Jr. Dairy Show July 19-20. Each year, a design contest is held for area 4-H’ers to see whose artwork will grace the annual show t-shirts presented to the youth showmen at the show. Click here for complete rules and entry form.
