Let your New Year begin with a nutrition and healthy lifestyle change by attending our Med Instead of Meds Class. Not only will you start healthy habits but you will learn how to keep them going. Med Instead of Meds is a FREE 6-week nutrition series based on the Mediterranean style eating pattern. It incorporates the basics of healthy eating that are traditionally practiced in countries that border the Mediterranean Sea. This style of eating has been shown to reduce the risk for chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol. There will be nutrition tips and innovative ways to incorporate healthy eating habits by making healthy recipes. Take a look at this video that goes over one of our tips which are Making your grains whole.

This class will begin February 15th at 5:30 pm and will last until 7:30 pm. It will be every Thursday for six weeks after the initial class. Please call Mignon Sheppard at 336-641-2421 in order to register for the class. The deadline for registration is February 12th. For the complete flyer click here:  MedinsteadMeds2018 (1)
